Type/Size of Piano

To properly account for the manpower and correct equipment needed to move your piano safely, please specify the type of piano and its size. Please see piano type examples below. If you know the make and model; let us know and we will have the dimensions listed.

Upright Pianos

We measure the size of an upright piano by how tall it is. They can range from a small modern upright, which is 108cm up to a large traditional style, which stands at 135cm.

Modern Uprights: Typically over 108cm tall to 120cm

Large traditional upright: Typically over 121 cm up to 132cm tall

Upright Pianos

We measure UPRIGHT PIANOs by their length starting from the piano keys up to the nose.

Baby Upright: Typically 4’3 1/2 to 5’3 feet in length.

Parlour, Boudoir and Studio Upright: Typically ranges from 5’3 feet to 7ft feet in length.

Concert Upright: Generally greater than 7ft and up to 10 feet in length.
