You need your piano stored so what options do you have:
Lend your piano to a friend: Short term this may be a good option call us for a transport quotation.
Use a self-storage unit: This is normally a unheated warehouse split into separate rooms, once you add on the insurance and have to arrange transport and packing yourself its not so competitive and the conditions are not ideal for pianos.
Use a house hold mover: the degree of experience, equipment and cost varies so much that you would have to visit the storage facility and decide for your self, we would always recommend using a member of the BAR.
Use Upright Piano Movers: You can rest assured your piano will be kept in a safe environment we operate the largest piano storage warehouse in the UK with over 20000 sq/ft of temperature-controlled piano warehousing in London and Hertfordshire, monitored 24h by CCTV, duel red care alarm system, and fire control systems all housed within a secure gated complex.
We promise we will not store your piano in a self-storage warehouse or a cold storage building, we are not a household removal company; we only move and store pianos. We would recommend viewing our storage facility; we know we offer the best piano storage facility in the UK at a competitive price.
All pianos undergo a photo* condition report and full storage pack on arrival at Upright Piano Movers piano storage.

Upright Piano Storage
All upright pianos are stored using thick padded piano covers plus a dust cover, they are then placed on a large piano trolley for storage
Upright piano actions are locked down and stored on our specialist equipment or can be stored on their legs on request, all UPRIGHT PIANOs are covered with a quality quilted cover, then a dust cover covers the whole piano front and back, and all pianos are kept off the floor on bespoke trolleys, then placed in a storage bay
Private viewing room
If you decide to sell your piano we have a private viewing room available giving you space to present your instrument to prospective buyers, we also have piano tuners on-site should you need technical assistance.

We can arrange for storage pianos to be prepared and tuned before being dispatched back to their owner. Also on offer, should you want it, a repair service for french polish and polyester finished pianos.
